Shannon Christensen is an Associate Principal and Architect at Cushing Terrell’s Billings, Montana office. Cushing Terrell is a multi-disciplinary firm with over 360 employees in 13 offices throughout the United States serving commercial, education, government, healthcare, retail, residential, and hospitality clients. Shannon is the Architectural Services Leader for the Billings office, managing workload, project staffing, and professional development for over 40 team members. Shannon specializes in commercial projects, with a focus on the design and construction of financial institutions.

Shannon joined Cushing Terrell in 2006 after graduating from Montana State University with her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design and Master of Architecture degrees. She became a licensed architect in Montana in late 2010. Shannon has gained her LEED AP BD+C credential and has completed LEED Platinum and Gold certified projects. She also holds a NCARB Certificate.

Shannon served as the second Associate Director on AIA Montana’s Board of Directors and has been serving as the State Architect Licensing Advisor (formerly IDP Coordinator) for Montana since 2009. Shannon was the Young Architect Regional Director for the AIA Northwest and Pacific Region from 2014-2016. She also served on NCARB’s 2014 Internship Advisory Committee and 2015 Education Committee. Shannon served on the Advisory Council for the Montana State University School of Architecture and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools, connecting students of all ages with the architectural profession. Shannon is also a member of the Billings Breakfast Exchange Club.
